To celebrate his big career comeback, Tiger Woods takes his kids on a trip as estranged wife Elin Nordegren heads to help her ailing mom in Arizona. C’mon, Tiger – shouldn’t you be there for your wife during this difficult time after all you’ve put her through?

Although he’s made a huge career comeback, Tiger Wood’s personal life is still a mess — so you probably shouldn’t hold your breath waiting for him and wife Elin Nordegren to play happy family again any time soon. Just one day after making his return to golf at the Masters tournament, Tiger took his kids on a separate vacation from his wife — who went to support her ailing mother. What a nice guy, right?

“Elin’s mother is having private treatments in the U.S., ” a source told Peopleof Elin, who flew to mom Barbro Holmberg’s side in Scottsdale, Ariz. April 11. “Even though it is paid for in Sweden, her mother had private treatments here before and really liked where she was.”

Like people who really love each other do (ahem, Tiger), Barbro jetted to be by her daughter’s side when news of Tiger’s many infidelities broke over Thanksgiving weekend. In the midst of all the drama, the 57-year-old Swedish politician was rushed to hospital and treated for stomach pains Dec. 8.

Now, Elin, 30, is taking care of her mother the same way her mother tried to care for her. Tiger, 34, is not there to give her support – surprise, surprise. And instead of being there to help his wife of five years and try to win her back, the golf pro took their daughter Sam, 2, and son Charlie, 10, on a family vacation April 12. But hey, beggars can’t be choosers. At least he’s spending time with SOME members of his family!

Regardless, if I was trying to make a relationship work (as Tiger claims he’s doing), I’d go to whatever ends I needed to regain my spouse’s trust — even if that person claimed he didn’t want me there. You listening, Tiger?
