Doesn’t the first lady look fabulous in her florals?
Michelle Obama, did you see the fun and flirty floral story we ran this weekend? Just like us, you’re thinking spring with bright colors and festive patterns — and we think you look fabulous! While in Mexico City, the first lady showed off not one, but two floral frocks. On Apr. 13, she stepped out sporting a beautiful blue floral halter dress by Tracy Reese. The very next day, she was back out in brights, wearing a dress with a bright pink top and straight floral skirt by Rachel Roy. Now this is how to make formal attire look fun!

Elegant, beautiful and smart. I try to look beyond the extremely ugly and negative comments about her. You never hear or read the same type of ignorant verbage about Ann Coulter or Sarah Palin when they wear attractive clothing or – “prints” for that matter.

That’s because Coulter and Palin aren’t being posted on a celebrity website solely for comments on their fashion choices. They shouldn’t appear here and neither should First Lady Obama. All of these woman have accomplished success (whether you agree with them or not) in a business and/or political forum NOT the entertainment industry. I just don’t get why Michele Obama is being posted on this site purely for her fashion choices. It cheapens the position she now holds, ignores her professional accomplishment and gives the impression that her fashion choices are paramount to anything else she is doing or has done in her life.

The dresses are nice and she looks good but since when did tabloid celebrity websites start covering US First Ladies? The work she is doing is standard First Lady business so there is nothing new there. She doesn’t look any better or worse than previous First Ladies and yet she gets so much more press coverage….
