What do you think of the TV doc’s advice? Should the Lohans have Lindsay arrested in order to get her into rehab?
After suggesting that Michael and Dina Lohan trick Lindsay Lohan into being arrested and sent to rehab, Dr. Drew Pinsky is back with more words of wisom for the Lohans. He stands by his original plan, but also expresses his sympathy for the entire family’s situation. “When I was asked as a father, if I were in Michael Lohan’s position, what would I do to help my daughter, I am clear that I would go to any lengths to get her to and retain her in treatment,” he wrote in an article for The Huffington Post. “As a father my heart goes out to Michael Lohan who deeply appreciates the dangers of this condition and (if she is in fact active in her disease) lives every day in the shadow of his daughter’s potential demise.”
Though he doesn’t suggest planting drugs on people as a ROUTINE method of intervention, he said it is a reasonable last resort if a person is in a desperate situation.
“I do not know Lindsay Lohan but I sincerely wish her the best,” he writes. “She has had excellent treatment in the past at outstanding treatment programs. I hope one day she returns to her recovery as I believe she will one day thrive, provided that this disease does not first bring some horrible consequences down upon her.”
Of course, Lindsay has already responded to Dr. Drew’s original statements, telling RadarOnline.com, “He a quack and a sell-out… Please tell him to stop!” Ouch!

Color me confused! Isn’t she on probation? Didn’t she recently go before a Judge who said she had to remain sober and get counseling? Why isn’t this Judge having her jailed for breaking her parole? No one is doing anything about her situation. She is our Amy Winehouse!

People need to decide for themselves whether they want to get better or not – forcing something on them won’t really help them in the long run because it wasn’t their own decision. Our entire society seems to be one of control – and we do it in the name of goodness, but goodness knows controlling others doesn’t do them any good.

Lindsay gave those comments exclusively to GossipCop.com, not Radar. Radar published GossipCop.com’s quotes and accurately attributed them to the site.
