The Hawthorne star dishes wedding details to HollywoodLife.com – and why he fell in love with his wife-to-be. Trust us, you’ll be getting out the hankies!
Michael Vartan is so in love with fiancée Lauren Sklar that he’s practically shouting it from the rooftops. After hearing the Hawthorne star gush about his upcoming nuptials and what made him fall in love with his lady, WE wanted to be in love, too!
“She’s my best friend in the world and that’s why I asked her to marry me,” the 41-year-old actor (and Jennifer Garner ex) confided at the America Red Cross gala in Santa Monica, Calif. April 17. “I have more fun with her than with anyone I’ve ever met. I just woke up one day and could not imagine living without her.”
But wait – Michael wasn’t nearly finished being adorable about his lady love. He continued to say how he knew girlfriend of a year Lauren – who works in real estate – was ‘the one.’
“I knew pretty quickly, “ he confided. “As you get older you know what you want and what you don’t want. I didn’t tell her she was the one, but I knew pretty quickly. The great thing about her and me is that I feel like I can be 100% myself.”
Because Michael can be 100% himself with Lauren, he’s letting her 100% take over the wedding planning details.
“[I’m getting married] next year, next spring,” he told Hollywoodlife.com exclusively. “[Lauren] is going to basically have everything she wants. If she wants a black tablecloth and a black gown, I might have to put my foot down, but other than that, I think…it’s her big day.”
As for kids, oh yeah, he’s ready. “Absolutely, down the road. Engagement, marriage, then kids,” he promised.
Lauren, are you SURE you want to marry Michael? If not, we’ll take him! Happily!

Not cute anymore but that’s not unusual for guys who look so good when they are younger. So now he’ll have a wife that will make him get fat as well.

I wish him and his lucky, lucky wife to be a very happy life and lots of kids! What a beautiful kids it will be!

VERY happy for him! HUGE bummer for us women; he’s absolutely gorgeous!! I’m also VERY happy to see that it didn’t work out for him and Jen Garner – he is SO much better than that! Congrats, Michael, we’re routin’ for you and your new bridge. (But if it doesn’t work out, don’t hestitate to call me !)

Michael Vartan is indeed ageing well and if you have a look at the Red Cross dinner he attended the other day no doubt about his looks. He is still the most handsome man I have ever seen in hollywood. I am very happy for him and his beautiful and lucky Lauren.

i love to see a man that doesn’t age well… mean thought, i know, but they have it so easy compared to us gals! he doesn’t look OLD, just getting more skinny and less sexy or something. at least, that’s what i think from this photo!
