They’re both beautiful brunette style icons with powerful, handsome husbands. When you look at the similarities, really, how can Katie Holmes NOT play Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis?
Tom Cruise’s 31-year-old wife will star as the former First Lady in The Kennedys, an 8-part mini-series airing on HISTORY in 2011.
Greg Kinnear will play Katie’s main man, John F. Kennedy, while Barry Pepper will star as Attorney General Robert Kennedy; rounding out the cast is Tom Wilkinson as Ambassador Joe Kennedy, Sr.
But forget about the guys — we can’t wait to see what Katie will wear! Here’s hoping you like pearls and chignons, Ms. Holmes! Your 4-year-old daughter, Suri, is going to just LOVE playing dress-up in your new closet!

an honor to play onnasis and i hope she does well… but what does it say that she’s getting gigs from the history channel? anything? i guess to be in greg kinnear’s company isn’t a bad thing. i wonder how big of a part it is in the storyline they go with? is it just me, or does this role choice scream of tom’s picking and maneuvering? well, i hope she does well and it puts more smiles on her face b/c i feel like i never see her smiling anywhere.

WHATEVER, AT LEAST SHE HAS SOME LIFE BEYOND TOM CRUISE, BUT REALLY , SHE AND SURI, ARE TOTALLY SUCKED UP WITH SCIENTOLOGY AND SHE IS NOT THE SAME PERSON SHE USED TO BE. SHE IS A SHELL OF THAT. TOO BAD , BUT THAT IS HER CHOICE , IT IS EITHER THAT, OR NO MARRIAGE TO CRUISE.
