‘Gossip Girl’ Is Bringing Sexy To A Different City — Will Shoot Episodes In Paris!
Ooh la la! Upper East Siders Serena, Blair and Chuck are going to have to learn how to say ‘voulez vous couchez avec moi c’est soir’ REAL quick!
Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf are following in Carrie Bradshaw’s stylish stilettos when Gossip Girl heads to Paris next season! Although Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) moved to gay Paree to be with her Russian lover, Aleksandr Petrovsky, on Sex and the City, the GG crew has an ever-so-slightly different reason for heading to the City of Lights.
“Serena [Blake Lively] and Blair [Leighton Meester] are finishing up their fabulous summer vacation when someone from home mysteriously shows up in town,” GG’s co-creator and executive producer, Stephanie Savage, tells New York Magazine. “They need to solve this mystery, or else return to a New York that’s a very different world…Paris is all about jump-starting the season and moving things forward.”
The French episode will shoot for a week before season four premieres next fall; the season 3 finale, “Last Tango, Then Paris” will air May 17.
The episode is shrouded in mystery aside from the fact that Gossip Girl herself will sign off with “bisou, bisou” (French for kisses!) instead of her typical XOXO adieu. No word yet on what part Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) plays in this menage a trois!
