After last night’s ridiculous finale, how could they NOT keep the show going?

Looks like we’ll be getting our answers to all the burning questions posed on May 17′s One Tree Hill finale — The CW has officially decided to renew it for the fall, Entertainment Weekly‘s Michael Ausiello is reporting. As was anticipated, the show will likely be given 12 episodes, as will The CW’s newest series Life Unexpected. BFFs, we’ve been lobbying for this for MONTHS, so this is TERRIFIC news! Even if the show’s abbreviated eighth season does turn out to be its last, at least the devoted fans will get the closure they deserve. And after last night’s shocking turn of events, closure is DEFINITELY needed!

Here’s a quick rundown of all the plot twists from last night’s season finale:

Julian (Austin Nichols) finally proposed to Brooke (Sophia Bush); Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) told Nathan (James Lafferty) she’s pregnant, and she thinks it’s a girl; Chase (Stephen Colletti) realized he needs to choose between Mia (Kate Voegele) and Alex (Jana Kramer); and in the last moments, crazy Katie (Amanda Schull) returned and shot Clay (Robert Buckley) and Quinn (Shantel VanSanten.)

BFFs, aren’t you psyched that One Tree Hill is getting another season? September can’t come soon enough!

So glad One Tree Hill will be returning, so many other shows that I watch are being canceled I was starting to think the networks had it out for me personally.
