The new ‘Dancing With The Stars’ champ has been crowned!
Hey HollywoodLifers! The new Dancing With The Stars champ has been crowned and it is NICOLE SCHERZINGER! Nicole managed to beat out Evan Lysacek and Erin Andrews for the crown in a season that saw the good, the bad, and the unexplainable in the form of Kate Gosselin!
Nicole is the most experienced of the group so her win should come as no surprise. Carrie Ann Inaba said of the her dance last night with partner Derek Hough: “you two were like a dancing octopus out there with all your limbs! Bruno got ink on the entire front row.” Meanwhile judge Len Goodman said: “well, well! A comeback!” She managed to score 55 points for both dances, tieing Erin with the best score of the night.

I wonder why the fans who insist that people who dance as part of their musical performances should not be on the show. All they have to do is gather a few million people to agree with them and the celebrity will be voted off. That is how it is done. That did not happen to Nicole and Derek because their dancing was just that great. Derek really stepped to a new level with choreography and Nicole nailed it. That’s how you win. Best season and best winner.

I totally agree with Molly! With the past winners, they had ample dancing on ice experiences, boy bands, etc. Why is it such a big deal with Nicole having danced with PCD? It’s a total different form of dancing. She so deserved it for working hard every week. I’ve never voted on the show until now. I’m so happy for Nicole and Derek!

She didn’t deserve to COMPETE because it is an unfair advantage verses those like Kate or an astronaut or athlete. But, we all know it’s not about the dance competition anyway – everyone that participates knows they will receive great PR.

The thing that’s bothering me is everyone is making a big deal about Nicole being a professional dancer and how “unfair” it is. Um hello, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, Mya, Mel B., and Lil Kim all have dance experience. 2 were in a boyband, one was a Spice Girl and the other two perform when they’re on stage as well. They were all excellent dancers on the show, with dancing backgrounds…how come no one made a big deal about any of them during their seasons?

nicole was amazing BUT i hope DWTS takes note and doesn’t put people with professional dance experience on next season – it takes away the fun… erin should’ve won as she learned and grew the most!!
