SAY IT ISN’T SO! Al & Tipper Gore Have Split!

After forty years and four children together, our former VIP and his wife have called it quits.
So sad! Our former Vice President, Al Gore, and Tipper, his wife of forty years, announced their separation today via email.
The Gores, who have been married since May 19, 1970 and are parents to Karenna, Kristin, Sarah LaFon and Albert Gore III, said June 1 that the split was “a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration,” as per an emailed statement obtained by the Associated Press and Politico.
Kalee Kreider, a spokesperson for 62-year-old Al, confirmed the statement but declined to comment further.

I for one am sorry to hear about this.
Those of you commenting on this post are either bitter Republicans or big-time cynics on the state of marriage in America in 2010.

I am neither a bitter Republican or against marriage in America. I have been married 35 years, quite happily, and extremely active in the democratic party in NJ. I have met Tipper and Al Gore at many fund raisers. Tipper is a wonderful warm woman that decerves better then the self-centered spoiled bore, Al Gore. If you have ever been in their company for more than an hour, you would agree. Good for Tipper. You deserve true love and not to be put second, third or probably ninth in your husband’s life.

Yes, Virginia, you are right!!! I had met Al and Tipper on several fundraisers myself. She is definitely the classy woman with a heart of gold. She does not need Al Gore to be in her life. She can grow in her ownself now and maybe in the future there will be a much more grateful gentleman in her life who appreciates her beauty.

Weird, isn’t it? The whatcha macalits…..the Rodham-Clintons….have made it this far but the little love birds could’nt do it.

I think of Bill and Hillary had to live under the same roof, they wouldn’t be together anymore either. Their arrangement is based heavily on political expediency. As long as one of them is touring the globe, or staying in NY or DC, they can both co-exist.

Does the Enquirer have photos or a story about either of these two stepping out on the other? I’m sure this has been a “professional” relationship for a number of years and wonder what prompted them to change their status….

So sad- Political or otherwise– people do not take their marriage vows serious enough.
‘Til death do us part’ is still the way God intended it.
This world would be better off if we would love and obey by God’s will for our lives.
