IS THERE HOPE YET? ‘Seeker’ Star Bridget Regan On Show Cancellation: ‘I Still Haven’t Been Released From My Contract!’
Bridget Regan is the queen of a gigantic and fervent fanbase — and she wants the ‘Legend of the Seeker’ fans to know they can still save the show …
Bridget Regan played the gorgeous, young warrior Kahlan on the syndicated drama Legend of the Seeker but ever since the show was cancelled in March, a huge campaign was started by her fans to help save the show! Bridget tells us that after two successful seasons of the show she was shocked it wasn’t renewed.
“It was doing really well in the second season,” says Bridget. “I thought our fan base was growing and especially how many countries were viewing the show … but I guess we needed out ratings on TV to be higher.”
The auburn beauty admits no one on the set would give her any answers as to why the show so suddenly came to a halt.
“I tried to get some answers,” she says. “It was not going to be produced by ABC unless someone else would come along and produce the show. I don’t know the whole of it … they haven’t told me … everyone was surprised by it.”
Bridget sadly recounted the day she heard the news. “One of the writers of the show told me … the main writer and we had a nice long talk about it and he was obviously very sad. I still haven’t even been released from my contract but I know it’s coming soon.”
Despite the sadness that comes along with the end of the show Bridget says she’s loved playing Kahlan! “I knew as soon as I read the breakdown that I would get the part,” says Bridget. “I knew that was me when I read the part of Kahlan.”
She wants all of her fans to know how much she appreciates them! “I want to thank my fans for their support and love and I hope they can enjoy what I do next and they are certainly a devoted bunch!”

I am 45 and I love Legend of the Seeker. I have watched every episode since it’s first show date in 2008. I was surprised about the cancellation. I think it is good for at least one more season’s worth of stories. I hope it is brought back for one more year at least–to finish the story then put out as a complete set on DVD. There is plenty they could do yet. I hope as others have stated that someone looking for a great show to invest in picks up this well-written, well-acted series. PLEASE BRING IT BACK AT LEAST ONE MORE SEASON!!!

This has to be one of the best shows I have seen! The plot always has you on the edge of your seat and the romance between Richard and Kahlan is amazing! I loved watching this on Netflix and Hulu, do they take the people who watch the show online into consideration when tallying up the ratings? I stopped watching cable tv a long time ago when all of those b.s. shows started to pop up… real world.. rock of love.. flava flav, etc. It sucks that when a GREAT show comes around they cancel it, but when lame shows come on they never seem to end….
Please bring back Legend of the Seeker!

This SUCKS!!!! LOTS is a great show!!!!!!!! I watched the whole second season in about 5 days and went to search for season 3…..this feeling must be worst than getting broken by the Mord’Sith… Please don’t cancel!!!!!!!!…..The characters the story is great and its a shame that we have go through this to help the BIG PEOPLE see that this show has great potential. Maybe it would help putting it at a different time slot or giving it promos!!. Geez this sucks :(

The seeker is a great depiction of life. Sure the reality isn’t the same but the battles we face are found in the journeys of this crew. A beautiful visualization of LIFE.
The proposed cancellation is yet another of the example of the harshness of life in the real world. I have enjoyed the show and hope to see more in the future.

One of the only shows my wife and I watched together. We have loved it for a LONG time, and couldnt wait every week for it to come on. Then the long break until season 2. Once it finished I hadnt even read or heard it was canceled until just recently while we figured it would start up again in the fall. UNREAL. Favorite show of all time. Bring it back!! Some one. Reminds me of when FireFly got canceled. Except this hurts worse.

My 92 y/o Grandfather was sick and it was my turn to hang out with him, and the Ep Broken was on tv. I caught it in the middle. Having never heard of the show, books, any of the cast I saw the one episode and when my siblings game to my grandfather’s house I went Best Buy to purchase the 1st season having seen it was available on dvd. Having stayed up to 2 am watching the first bunch of ep I finished w/ the 1st season and downloaded the 2nd season. When I finished that I went out and bought the Sword of Truth (1st 3 bks), which I have since purchased for my bother and I now how the 1st 3 audio books on my itouch. If you make it I will buy it, see above. This series is amazing as is the cast performs it and everyone else involved. I can’t get enough and am sorry I didn’t catch it earlier.

Seriously- how many more crime and murder shows can there be? Legend of the Seeker was something comepletely different from the tons of crime shows on tv nowadays. It was refreshing and it was a show that inspired the imagination. With all the great ads for it (what ads?) I never even heard the show existed until the day before the season 2 finale! So I ran out and bought season 1, then got a hold of all the season 2 eps…and now it’s ending? With the huge fanbase- it just doesn’t make any sense! Kahlan is an awesome intelligent and beautiful female character.

OH…Wonderful….ABC execs have their heads so far up their butts again that they have cancelled another great show….what the hell are they thinking over there do they have retarded monkeys running their company…??.. I cant even begin to list all of the great shows that a lot of people liked but they decided to cancel…and why…?? because they are a bunch of half brained lunatics that have no idea what people want to watch because they are not your average Joe…so why do we put up with it…?? i say the next good show ABC cancels we should boycott the entire network and all of its subsidiaries….

When I read the article regarding the cancellation of Legend of the seeker, I felt bummed out, sad and depressed. I still couldn’t believe that it’s being cancelled especially now that the story is getting really interesting. This is the only TV series that I look forward of watching no matter what day or time of the week they air it. It would be really hard not to see any of it again but I will not lose Hope… PLEASE SAVE OUR SEEKER!!!
