At this point, Kate is used to people tearing her to pieces for her every move, especially when it comes to being a mom to her eight little Gosselettes. But she’s coming out swinging against those who think she shouldn’t have filmed her kids b-day party.
Kate Gosselin, we think it’s great you took your eight kids to Orlando, Fl for your sextuplets birthday — even if it was filmed for your upcoming reality show Kate Plus 8, which premieres June 6. We just watched a clip on TLC.com where you’re packing for the trip in early May and you explain why you felt like you needed to film the party for the show.
“I know what I want to do for their sixth birthday,” says Kate right before the big road trip. “It doesn’t matter what Jon and I are doing or what we’ve chosen. We still have to have a birthday party.”
We agree, your eight kids are used to having their lives documented by camera crews, and you’ve said before how sad your little kids get when the cameras aren’t around. We think it was a good idea to film your surprise trip to Orlando AND it’s even more fun for us to watch!
We love seeing their eight little faces! In the clip they look like they’re having a great time while splashing around at a waterpark complete with dolphins!
But even though it looks like a ton of fun, you admit it’s tough being a single mom.
“There was just so much new and different about this situation,” admits Kate looking back on the party. “I’m down my helper [Jon Gosselin] I’m here by myself. It [traveling with the kids alone] was a little nerve racking.”
Kate, we’re looking forward to seeing more of the birthday party this Sunday, June 6, when Kate Plus 8 officially premieres!

So glad to see that most folks “get” it. I quit watching a couple years ago hoping if enought of us did that she would disappear. What drives me nuts is how she keeps trying to convince everyone she’s a good mom. Jon is immature – which she knew when she met him – but he’s a much better parent. She keeps trying to make him look bad for not being with the kids all the time so she can run around. If she wants to see a good mom she should take a look at Betty Hayes with TWO sets of twins and a set of sextuplets one being a special needs child. I have yet to hear her moan and groan about everything and be so entitled. An even better indicator of her mothering skills is her kids are really great – no Maddys there. Just before I quit watching I started seeing that bratty Maddy behavior in some of the younger girls as well. When they get older she’ll get hers – tho she’ll undoubtedly blame it on Jon.

kates fault she knew she was going to have six kids at one time. she needs a real job just like other people out there. other people do not depend on getting a reaily show. only her with her kids shes a bitch and I hope people do not watch it so they will take it off the air. get a real job KATE.

FORCED my butt!!!!! Kate wants the attention, so here she goes again, using her kids as the giunea pigs. Really dumb thing to say. Pitty that some people are so blind to her ways. Wished she’d disappear and get lost in the trash bin.

Kate is so worthless. If she didn’t have the kids, where would she be. She’s using her kids for her own selfish reasons. Why is she demanding that Jon get a job when she told him to quit the one he had so she could promote herself with her that bodyguard of hers. She wrecked the whole show and if she’s on another reality show to make herself look like an ass, then she deserves the hatred she’s getting. What a useless & poor excuse for a woman. Get the heck off the face of the earth already and teach the kids whats more important in life rather than being in the media. What a disgusting person she is!

No one can believe a word Kate Gosselin says about anything! She was glad to be filmed, because we all know that she doesn’t go anywhere unless someone else is footing the bill! And she does have help, but not a husband, and we all know why that is! Nothing against the 8 kids, but she is just such an annoying person!

Kate is a great mom, no matter what anyone says. Hell being a mediocre mom would be the most you could expect out of me if I had 8 kids. Dang can you immagine 8 kids all under 10? Yikes.
The only think I have to say about Kate, is SMILE, you have a beautiful one. And because you dont smile much, almost always have a mean type grimace it just looks like you are an angry mean, grouchy woman all the time. Which unless you are that way, you need to change your facial expressions. Try practicing the mirror or look back at pictures, especially of you on DWTS.
You are a beautiful woman, the Jon baggage is gone, fricking smile all day lady!!!!
