Rihanna Opens Up About Her Ex-BF Chris Brown 'I Didn't Want To Feel The Pain Anymore'

BFFs, Rihanna talks about how hard it was to go through her break up with Chris and why she shockingly torn about whether to take him back!

Ladies, if you’ve ever been through a horrible breakup Rihanna, 22, is who can you look to for strength. The Caribbean beauty opened up in the July issue of Elle magazine about how difficult it was to get over her ex-boyfriend of two years Chris Brown. The two split after Chris, 21, physically attacked Rihanna after a pre-Grammy party in February of 2009, leaving her with multiple bruises, and a split lip.

“A year ago, I was very confused because he was my best friend,” says Rihanna of Chris. “All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives — not only our friendship but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore.”

Rihanna tells Elle that after the incident she was very torn about what to do and it left her feeling incredibly lost.

“I wanted to be with him again or get over him, it was either-or,” says Rihanna. “I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.”

Luckily, Rihanna has found love again, with LA Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, 25.

“I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy,” she gushes. “I feel really comfortable and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.
