EXCLUSIVE! Michael Emerson Clears Up ‘Lost’ Series Finale Mystery — Find Out Why Ben Wasn’t In Church With The Other Islanders!

Think you know but not QUITE sure why Ben Linus didn’t go into the light with his castmates during the season finale of Lost? Read on, BFFs!

If you’re a true Lost fan, you’ll have your theories on why Benjamin Linus was sitting on a park bench outside a church in the last few moments of the series finale May 23 — but are you right? Luckily, Ben’s portrayer, Michael Emerson, was nice enough to clear up the mystery!

“Ben hasn’t fully redeemed himself and he wasn’t able to move on like the rest of the characters,” Michael, 55, explained to partygoers during the season premiere party of his wife, Carrie Preston’s show, True Blood, at Hollywood’s H-Lounge June 12.

Now that the actor isn’t caught up in the drama of the island, he was free to kick back and enjoy Skyy pineapple cocktails on the patio with his wife, as well as her Blood stars Sam Trammell, Todd Lowe and Nelsan Ellis, who had no idea it was Gay Pride week and thought LA was always that chaotic on a Saturday night (it isn’t).

As for the gorgeous Alexander Skarsgard, sources tell HollywoodLife.com that the hunky Swede WANTED to make the pre-season party but “would have probably turned around if he had seen the craziness going on around Santa Monica Blvd!”

Well, that’s no bloody fun, is it?
