BFFs, even though we’re sure Heidi and Spencer are totally faking their break up, they’ve taken their charade to a whole new level!

The infamous duo is at it again! Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are attacking each other publicly, claiming there was infidelity in their marriage on BOTH sides! RadarOnline is reporting that Heidi has hired a private investigator to spy on Spencer because she’s suspected him of cheating since they broke up in May. But on the flipside, Spencer says Heidi is sleeping with his ex-friend, Cougar Zank, a former marine, who Heidi shacked up with after leaving Spencer!

“They are definitely friends, and I don’t know if there is anything more to it than that,” a source tells RadarOnline. “But Spencer believes there is. He’s certain there is.”

But Heidi isn’t the only one who supposedly has had a case of the wandering eye — crystal-loving Spencer has been allegedly cheating on Heidi since May!

“Heidi has hired a former member of the sheriff department, who now works as a private investigator, to look into it,” says a source. “It’s really important to Heidi to find out if Spencer has been cheating on her.”

We know Heidi is out shopping her new single-life reality show with former Hills star and BFF Jen Bunney, but we still believe this break up is strictly for publicity. HollywoodLife.com told you a few weeks ago that Spencer was trying to sell a break up cover story to a top magazine.

According to RadarOnline, Heidi is going to go so far as to file a legal petition for divorce.

This is getting ridiculous, these two are totally faking their break up! But don’t you think it’s really scary they are going to such great lengths to remain in the public eye?
