R-Patz and K-Stew both have equally big parts in the Twilight Saga, so why did he make $5 million more than she did last year?
Do you think Robert Pattinson is worth more than his real-life (and on-screen) GF, Kristen Stewart? Well, here’s the hard truth: R-Patz made $5 million more than K-Stew in 2009, reports Forbes magazine, whose annual celebrity 100 list ranks Rob, 24, at #50 with an estimated total of $17 million last year; Kristen, 20, made $12 million at #66.
Should we be outraged? Is this a typical case of guys making more than girls? Sadly, gauging from their non-Twilight-related box office sales, Rob is way more marketable than his lady love!
Although he’s only been in two other films since Twilight blew up in 2008, R-Patz’s 2010 drama, Remember Me, made $46 million world-wide — nearly three times as much as Kristen’s recent film, Adventureland, which brought in a meager $16.6 million.
The numbers for Kristen’s indie flick, Welcome to the Rileys, haven’t been released yet, but they are bound to be as minimal as her other low-budget film, The Runaways, which has only raked in $3.5 million since it’s March 19 release. However, Rob’s not always such a draw himself: in 2008, his film Little Ashes grossed less than $500,00 world-wide. Talk about a flop!
However, we suspect we might know why Rob makes just a teensy bit more than his girl. Although he shot said films before his rise to fame as sexy vampire Edward Cullen, he DID appear in two of the Harry Potter flicks, HP and the Order of the Phoenix and HP and the Goblet of Fire; the films respectively grossed $896,013,036 and $938,468,864 worldwide.
All numbers aside, do YOU think Rob deserves to make more money than Kristen?

I think that’s not a question of fairness or (not-) deserving, it’s just the fact, that there are more female as male fans (of the books and the actors).and where/ for what they spend their money. There are a lot of famous persons, who were quite poor during their life (Van Gogh, Mozart)and underestimated.

If he stars in more movies, which were more popular, it kinda makes sense that he makes more.

Totally not fair! She’s a much better actor than he is. Look at panic room, speak, undertow, the messengers, welcome to the rileys etc….

Rob made more movies than Kristen did, not to mention that she tends to do more independent films that are only limited in release. Remember Me was released nationwide whereas The Runaways was released in limited. However, I saw both and I have to say that Kristen’s film was far better than Rob’s in my opinion. I think they both could care less about the money they earned since they already made a fortune from the Twilight franchise and they are still going to make a lot more money with the next two installments, DVD sales and back end profits from Eclipse and Breaking Dawn 1&2.

Kristen can’t act at all, so it makes sense that Rob earned more. Kristen makes the same gestures (the lip-biting, the continuous-blinking) in all her roles. I don’t think she can get into character… She doesn’t PLAY the roles, she just recites the lines. On the other hand, Rob was a totally different person as Tyler in Remember Me compared to Edward Cullen.

There’s a little site called Box Office Mojo. You should check it out, then check the facts.
1. Remember Me made 55.2 million worldwide
2. Little Ashes made 767.6 worldwide. For a film that was in 16 theaters at it’s widest release, that’s not too shabby.
3. Adventureland made 17.2 million.
4. Welcome to the Riley’s numbers haven’t been released yet because the film hasn’t been released yet.

He has been working continuously. He made more movies than she did. If they made the same for the Twilight films all is fair. He has worked way more so he got paid more!

why is this shocking. male actors usually make more money then female. and little ashes wasnt even release in world wide, and it came out right as rob shot to stardom.

If it’s true that “male actors usually make more money than female” you (and the rest of the world) should be finding it very shocking because that would be blatant sexism, and we do happen to be living in 2010 as opposed to 1954. In this particular case I don’t think that’s it – he’s just worked more and starred in more big money earners than she has.

Even though Remember Me was sort of an indie type film it was a much bigger film than the very small ones she did. Also the photo shoots… He also shot Bel Ami last year was that included in his $$? He has been working non-stop. New Moon and Eclipse then Bel Ami and now Water for Elephants and photo shoots… I think they made the same for the Twilight films which is where the comparison should be made – not on the vastly different films they made. He deserves it for the non stop work he has been doing.

I have to disagree. Remember me actually made $55,000 worldwide as of May 13, 2010 – without considering DVD sales. They also make $$ from photo shoots and endorsements. Rob was in every magazine known to men (or women…), last year. And sorry to say, but Rob is now much bigger a star than Kristen — as well as a much more interesting personality!
