Abby Sunderland is FINALLY safe and sound and back on land after fears she was lost at sea following a June 10 storm in the Indian Ocean that forced the California teen to abandon her dream of becoming the youngest person to sail solo around the sea. The Associated Press reports that the California teen arrived on Reunion Island Saturday, June 24 where she was greeted by her 18-year-old brother Zac and quick to defend her parents’ decision to let her participate in such a dangerous trip. “They have put up with a ton of stuff to help me follow my dream,” the young sailor said.
