In a press conference at The British Open the golfer claims the public perception of him has been ‘fantastic.’ Is he delusional?
Tiger Woods is either living in a bubble or out of his mind as he has stated that the public has been great to him following the news of his multiple affairs. Asked at a British Open press conference if it bothers him how his public image has changed so much over the past year he responded, “Well, most of the people have been fantastic. The places that I’ve played and the people that have come up to me have been great. As I said, most of the people have been so respectful over the years here, and I wouldn’t see anything different.” Is he nuts?!
Tiger’s public image has, of course, but nothing but bad news since news of his affairs hit. He is now set to divorce wife Elin Nordegren, who will be walking away with $100 million.
As for whether or not he would care if people thought less of him the golfer responded, “Hey, it’s their opinion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.”
Everyone is entitled to their opinion Tiger and, for most of them, it’s that you’re a creep!

Tiger Woods is accountable to Elin and the children and no one else. What he did to his family is reprehensible. Beyond that he owes nothing to anyone. Elin is the only one who should matter in this whole episode. All of the people who are holding him in contempt need to get on with their lives as Tiger is trying to do.

People who watch golf can still enjoy watching him play golf. His private life is no-ones business but his and his soon to be, still extremely rich, ex wife. I wouldn’t have minded my ex having multiple affairs if he had left me as much money as she’s getting.

Elin should have received more money given what Tiger did. He is despicable and living on another planet if he thinks people still like him. He slept with, admittedly, over 100 women. That is disgusting. He has no morals, no family values and in one word, a creep.

I don’t always agree with Bonnie but I do in this case. I am also familiar with “hate the sin, love the sinner” but I don’t agree that disliking Tiger Woods for what he has done makes anyone a “small person.” I personally don’t get how anyone in their right mind could find anything to love about somebody who does what Tiger Woods has done to his wife and children. This wasn’t a 1-woman affair. Tiger has never been faithful and after swearing to fidelity that tells anyone with ears that his word isn’t worth a damn.
We’ve all heard of “2 wrongs don’t make a right” but similarly “being a good golfer doesn’t erase the bad smell of a mountain of un-matched selfishness.” Tiger Woods doesn’t serve anyone’s respect.

Tiger lives in the world of the best golf courses. I think that was one of Elin’s objections. He doesn’t live in the real world. And golf fans are inherently polite. It’s part of the culture.
Tiger is delusional. What else is new. It’s going to be a shock when his golf career ends. And it will. He’ll be 35 this year, and in his world, 40 is usually the peak. He has 5 good years, and then it’s all downhill. He’s burning daylight with these distractions.
And the real world has affected him whether he realizes it or not. His game is in the cellar. The teflon is gone. And if other players believe they can beat him, they can.

Bonnie, we all know that you lead the “Hate Tiger brigade”, but Tiger does have supporters and the fans who cheer him on at golf tournaments could care less what you think. You of course are entitled to your opinion just as I am. I do believe there is a saying “Hate the sin, love the sinner” but obviously your followers do not believe in that. That is all right, that makes you and them a smaller person.

Get over it! The press is the only ones keeping this story alive. Tiger did nothing that any rockstar has not done, and yes he is the closest thing that golf has ever had to a rockstar. He cheated on his wife, BFD! He is still the man to beat at golf. Sure his game is a bit off but yours would be too if the media was always hounding you. He cheated. He is getting a divorce. All you woment can say she deserves more, but why? Justify why she deserves more. He cheated, got caught, done. He is going to pay child support for at least the next 20 years, she is in no way a victim post-divorce. Her lifestyle is and will continue to be quite comfortable.
