UPDATE: ‘The Jersey Shore’ Cast Is Close To Inking 200% Pay Increase Deal!

After demanding more money for nonstop partying and 10 hours of actual work a week, it looks like the Jersey Shore cast is about to get their way – which means way more money!
UPDATE: WOW – guess the Rolling Stones were wrong: you CAN always get what you want! The Hollywood Reporter says the entire Jersey Shore cast – and not just cast members The Situation, Pauly D and Snooki - is close to inking a deal with MTV that will give them nearly the entire 200% pay increase they wanted…nearly $30,000 per episode! MTV released the following statement: “We don’t comment on any contractual conversations. Season 2 premieres July 29 and production is on schedule.”
UPDATE: Apparently MTV has even less sympathy for the Jersey Shore cast than we do! The show’s producers are getting sick and tired of the cast’s demands for more money, and one source tells TMZ: “The show is not about famous rich people with managers coming to the Shore.” In fact, producers are considering cutting most of the cast loose, as The Situation, Snooki and Pauly D are really the only three they can’t afford to lose.
It’s the news every hardworking American longs to hear — seven twentysomethings who do nothing but drink and start fights are demanding more money before beginning to film the new season of their show. That’s right, the Jersey Shore kids have gone on strike today according to TMZ who reports, “The cast was supposed to begin shooting ‘at home’ scenes today for season three, but we’re told JWoww, Ronnie, Sammi, Pauly D and Vinny — who are spread out between New York and Rhode Island — told the crews they weren’t shooting without new contracts.” Please, please, please fire them MTV!
Sources go on to tell TMZ that, “the cast feels they can make more money doing appearances for two months, rather than filming the show.” Who are these people that are interested in attending events the Jersey Shore cast is at and thus subsidizing these appearance fees? Wouldn’t the presence of a girl in a beehive, I mean bump-it, kartwheeling through a bar with no underwear be a deterent to attending?
Either way, I am sure MTV can find 7 other young adults willing to get drunk on camera. I can even recommend some.

I really dislike these children. I did watch the first season cause it was new and kinda funny. Now these babies are getting too big for their britches and its not like they have any talent or work for the money. MTV could easily replace them and people would soon forget about them. Make it like Real World, replace each season with new people. That show is still going to this day and they didnt cave to some orange monkeys who just drink all day.
