Katie Holmes was photographed cuddling a baby in a scene from her new miniseries The Kennedys — but since Suri’s never had any younger competition, for her parents’ attention, could this be a tantrum instigator?

Suri Cruise has had a great time on the Toronto set of The Kennedys while her mom, Katie Holmes, shoots scenes as the legendary Jackie Kennedy Onassis. She’s become BFF with the little girl playing Jackie’s daughter, Caroline, but somehow we’re guessing she won’t be as happy to see her mom cuddling the newest addition to the cast, a toddler who’s playing young John-John.

As Katie’s only child, Suri is used to being the center of attention. Experts say it’s normal for a child to feel jealous when it sees Mom holding another baby, but there is a way around it. Pediatrician Tanya Remer Altmann, editor of The Wonder Years: Helping Your Baby and Young Child Successfully Negotiate the Major Developmental Milestones, suggests getting your child to help you with the baby.

She recommends asking, “Should we hold the baby together?” Or say, “I’m going to hold the baby — why don’t you help me?”

Here’s another idea, producers: Write Suri into the film, and that way she won’t be jealous of the other kids and will get to spend even more time with her mom!
