Erin Andrews Wants To Keep YOU Safe From Stalkers By Campaigning On Capitol Hill!
The Dancing with the Stars beauty has been a victim before, and she doesn’t want the same fate to befall other women – which is why she’s taking action in Washington D.C.!
How’s this for taking action? After becoming the victim of a Peeping Tom scandal, ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews is trying to prevent the same thing from happening to YOU! The 32-year-old blond beauty campaigned on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. July 27 to pass the “Stalkers Act of 2010” law.
“I’m showing my face. I’m lending my voice. And I’m here to give this law some teeth,” a tearful Erin said during the Tuesday press conference, adding, “(Stalking) affects people. It affects your everyday life, the way you communicate, the way you travel and the way you take double glances at people.”
Before she became a hot blond dancing bombshell on Dancing with the Stars, Erin was best known as a victim after ex-insurance salesman Michael Barrett filmed her nude and sent the video viral. Although he’s now serving a 30-month sentence, Erin doesn’t think justice has been served.
“I was very sad that he’s going to jail for a little over two years,” she said. Barrett’s peephole video of her will be on the Internet forever. I’ll have to explain that to the kids I have one day and to the husband I marry one day.”
