Proud Papa Mark Wahlberg Gets a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
It’s about time Mark got an award! We’ve wanted to give him one ever since we saw him in his Calvin Klein underwear!
Now that’s what we call an entourage! Mark Wahlberg accepted his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday with his wife, Rhea Durham, and their four children around him, and he thanked them all in his speech for standing by him and “sacrificing so much so I can accomplish my goals.”
“I go to church every day and thank God for the beautiful blessings he’s bestowed upon me,” said the Oscar-nominated actor and producer of the hit HBO show Entourage. “I’m so happy my kids are sitting through this. When I heard I was getting this star, I felt like it was a practical joke.”
Will Ferrell, Mark’s co-star in next week’s comedic cop flick, The Other Guys, introduced his partner in crime by saying, “I first became a fan of Mark’s when I bought his workout video. And I love all your Bourne movies.” After the laughter died down, he got serious. “Not only is he one of the hardest-working guys, he’s a great family man, and just a great dude.”
We’ll second that! Congratulations, Mark!
