EXCLUSIVE! What The Heck Is 17-Year-Old Miley Cyrus Doing In A 21+ Bar?
Miley Cyrus’ shock behavior continues — she was hanging out at a bar that doesn’t allow anyone younger than 21 years old (she’s 17, BTW) in Detroit on Sunday.
We were shocked to see photographs of Miley Cyrus hanging out at a bar just outside of Detroit, Michigan on August 1 — especially because the young starlet is only 17! What WAS she doing there?
“I’m off to bed right now but just wanted to let you know Miley, Demi, and Ashton are at Mars Bar in Hamtramck as I type this ,” AbigailMSU, a bar patron who saw Miley and the crew at Mars Bar, wrote on her Twitter page that same night.
We’re wondering how Miley managed to get in to the swanky spot, especially given that the bar’s website claims it’s a 21+ lounge. “We are a 21 and over lounge. No one under 21 will be admitted. Proper identification is required consisting of a valid state or government issued photo ID card including non-expired drivers licenses and passports,” Mars Bar’s website says. Let’s repeat: No one under 21 will be admitted.
We’re guessing that her of-legal-age company – LOL co-star Demi Moore, 47, and her 32-year-old hubby Ashton Kutcher - had something to do with the easy access.
And if you thought the teenage actress was shooting a scene for her new movie, which also co-stars Ashley Greene, think again. HollywoodLife.com can confirm that the movie was NOT shooting at the bar. “We haven’t filmed there,” the production office told us August 3. “That is not a location for the film.”
This is just the most recent bit of age-inappropriate behavior from the former Disney star, who’s been wearing next to nothing in public, making out with girls on stage, and dancing way sexier than a 17-year-old should.
The actress’ rep explains to HollywoodLife.com, “Mars Bar closed a section of the club for LOL cast and crew and their family for the evening.”

you do realize that that is not the same outfit she wore to the bar if you look in the picture there are cameras and sets behind her she is on the set of her movie in that picture in the bar picture she is wearing something different give the girl a break what just because she is a celeb means she cant sneak into a club give me a break half of america’s teenagers do that.

It is truly sad what kind of person Miley has turned into. My children used to love her but, find her repulsive now and I am happy that is over with. I used to like her too, thought she used to send a positive message to young girls but, those days are gone. Something is not right with that family-Her Mom hangs out with young men, her older brother Trace is a very angry rude person, and the little sister is dressing like trash and acting like a 30 year old. Dad allows his children to do what ever they want, like posing semi nude when she was underage while he watched. Something is wrong there.

Haha hi there! I am AbigailMSU. Just to clarify, and I don’t know where you got the info, but I was NOT at the bar. I was called by friends who were at the bar. One friend, of which, was an off duty police officer who was there. the people on the movie fully said it wasnt a set for the movie. like the article said above. the writer of this is very biased though. although they share my opinion if u r writing a post, no matter if it is just a gossip post, it sould b professional. but how did she get in the bar is its only 21 and over. prob just cuz she is a celeb. so not fair! and btw the age restrictions in america r so weird. when ur 18, ur considered an adult and can live on ur own and considered ur own person but yet u cant rent a car or drink untill ur 21….wtf!

I’ve seen the Mar’s Bar website. It also has contact information including a phone and fax number. Far be it from Hollywood Life to pick up the phone and call them. It could have been after hours. It could have been in a separate non-21 part of the bar. It could be that Detroit is easygoing about bar age. Pick up the phone and find out!
Also, does anybocy else think it’s weird that the Mar’s Bar happy hour is midnight to 1 a.m. ? I’ve never seen that before.

If the bar was leased out for a private party, that usually means the party leasing the space can admit whom they please. If a family rents a venue out for a family event, are they supposed to leave the kids at home?

First get some facts straight. She’s 17 almost 18, not 16. Granted that is still underage to go to a bar “ALONE”. Also all the people who reported seeing her there on Twitter and Facebook all said she was only drinking water, no alcohol, no smoking, and definitely no drug use. Finally, most states, including mine and all the states surounding mine, allow under 21 in bars if accompanied by parent, Guardian, or legally responsible adult( usually mean an legal age spouse, but can mean other people). BTW she was dressed nice, looked good from all accounts,was friendly and appeared to have a good time.
