This is terrible news! Jen has put her sitcom past behind her – which means she won’t be appearing with best Friend Courteney Cox on Cougar Town!
Are you ready for some bad news, BFFs? Jennifer Aniston is NOT going to be making a small screen comeback as reported!
Sadly, an insider tells us that Jen is dunzo with TV. “Jen wants to stay in movies,” an insider on the set of her new film, Horrible Bosses, tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. Although she recently told Extra that she’d “do anything” for BFF Courteney Cox including – when pushed – appear on her show, Cougar Town, the source tells us that isn’t the truth and she was simply being nice for the purpose of the interview.
“There’s been a lot of talk about her appearing on Cougar Town lately, but she says it isn’t going to happen because she’s too busy and wants to stay in film.” Our source hastens to add, “It’s nothing against Courteney at all – she just wants to remove herself from TV.”
But we LOVED Jen as a television actress – especially as Rachel Green on Friends; she was also hilarious as Jack Donaghy’s stalker on 30 Rock. Talk about a HollyBummer!
There’s always a silver lining though – this means that the 41-year-old actress is going to continue to focus on her film career – and is seriously considering joining pal Jason Bateman in the eagerly awaited Arrested Development movie.
“Jason and Jen are always together on set,” the insider tells us. “They always hang out and take meals together – they’re practically best friends at this point. Talk on set has sometimes veered to the Arrested Development movie and how they’d like to work on it together; Jen says it would be fun.”
Jen, who stars with Jason in the upcoming film, The Switch as well as Bosses, also told MTV News, “I love it. I actually think I might have asked [Bateman] … if that was possible. Anything to work with Jason.”

Never say never, especially with the exception of “marley and me” whenever you’re first billed ,your movies are going nearly straight to video.
I’m truly stumped how she is still considered an “A lister” considering her history in movies over the last 10 yrs.

Who is it that thinks it’s their business to question Miss Anistons decison ? Did she ask any of us our opinions ? Not that I know of ! It’s time you let others lead their own lives and you mind your own business. You can have an opinion but keep it to yourself. How would you like it if every time you belched, burped, or hic upped, if it was the headlines of your local newspaper ? Minding your own business should be a big enough job without taking on someones elses private life. Sticking your noses in her business must mean they are all as long as Pinocchios.

I’ve never been thrilled with Jennifer Aniston. And I don’t know why the tabloids keep featuring pregnancy rumours on her. She will never have a kid. She don’t like them. That’s why Brad is with Angie. He wanted a family and Jennifer just wanted a career. Angie could do both. Besides, she is too old now anyway. That womb has dust in it.

I’m an extra on the film, and I can confirm I have seen Jen and Jason hanging out on set. So that part of the story is true, as for the other, I wasn’t there but I’m giving Hollywood Life the benfit of the doubt because they are right on one part of the story.

Which is not surprising. They have been friends for years. And I am sure that the fact that they have no scenes together is why they are probably hanging out together a lot on the set when they are not filming a scene.

If mindframes doesn’t work, I will say her frame of mind can change time and time again. And she can possibly work on Cougar Town, but to think that she didn’t say this or hang out with her friend on set at all is not out of the realm of possibility. People arrive on set and are there all day, whether they are on the same scene or not, so hanging out with each other is in no way far fetched. And she worked on Dirt, but again, that was when she had a different frame of mind on her career. It’s not a bad thing that she wants to stay in film, its worked pretty well for George Clooney.

Brian, they have different mindframes? Not a good explanation particularly because she was a guest on CC’s Dirt show and she was already a “movie star”.
There’s no reason for Jen to lie, she could easily have just said she can’t fit it into her schedule right now.
Also, I doubt any of us are HL haters or we wouldn’t have taken the time to respond to this. But there are 4-5 people suggesting HL do their homework a little better. Their track record on a lot of stories is not great.

Considering that Jason said on GMA on Monday morning that he and Jennifer have no scenes together in Horrible Bosses, I doubt your information about him and Jennifer being inseparable is true. Them not having any scenes together means that they are probably rarely on the set at the same time if at all.

So Jen says one thing behind the scenes that she would never say in the public arena. She is obviously playing nice to the cameras. She is not or never has bashed Courtney, movie stars just want to remain movie stars! Whatever she said elsewhere, she’s an actress, what do you expect them to keep the same mind frame? Screw the HL haters!

Maybe you should ask Jen instead of her so-called “insider”. Or look at the video on Pop Sugar where she talks to them about it at the press junket last weekend. Another miss by Hollywood Life.

Agreed – in multiple interviews from The Switch junket she said, “I would do anything for Courteney” when asked whether she might appear on her show. She told one outlet that she would do anything, anytime, any place for Courteney. Once again epic fail for HL!
