The former lovers are vacationing together in Sardinia with their current beaus as Naomi takes heat for her alleged involvement in the African blood diamond trade!
Leonardo Dicaprio and ex Naomi Campbell, currently on vacation in Sardinia, have more in common than just their dating history — they both have ties to the African blood diamond trade! Leo of course starred in the 2006 film Blood Diamond which brought global recognition to the ongoing epidemic whereas Naomi’s involvement appears to not be so positive — she may have received blood diamonds!
Naomi is currently under fire for allegedly receiving a diamond in 1997 from Charles Taylor, the warlord and former president of Liberia, during a dinner for Nelson Mandella in South Africa. Charles is currently on trial at The Hague for crimes against humanity and Naomi’s diamond has become such a crucial issue the model herself was called to testify! Naomi denies she received anything more than what she called “dirty looking stones” but both her former agent and actress Mia Farrow, who were present at the dinner, say the model had said the next morning at breakfast she received a “huge diamond” the night before.
As if being with your ex isn’t awkward enough, this situation must make things even stranger between the two!
