Are you stoked for The Vampire Diaries‘ second season? Judging by this trailer, it’s more intense (and definitely sexier) than ever!

Nina Dobrev is one lucky girl! Not only does she get to pull double-duty on The Vampire Diaries as both a human (Elena) and a vampire (Katherine), but in this brand-new trailer for The CW drama’s upcoming second season, we see her getting hot and heavy with BOTH of the show’s leading hotties, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder! The trailer describes season two as “the year of the Kat,” and it’s definitely right about that. We can’t wait to see what kind of trouble Katherine has in store for the poor, unsuspecting residents of Mystic Falls.

The trailer — which features the song “Make Me Wanna Die” by Taylor Momsen‘s band, The Pretty Reckless — also shows Katherine confronting budding witch Bonnie (Katerina Graham) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) on death’s door after over-dosing on pills (and vampire blood) at the end of last season’s finale.

Will he live? We’ll just have to wait until the show comes back for season two Sept. 9!
