Britney’s former trainer reveals how she’s managed to look so fabulous in a bikini in less than a month!

Wow, what a change! In just one month, Britney Spears‘ body has gone from looking soft and full, to chiseled and svelte — we’re totally jealous! Obviously, we wanted to know the secrets behind the mom-of-two’s body transformation,  so we consulted her former trainer, Marc Corliss.

Surprisingly, Marc revealed that Britney doesn’t  just snap her fingers and look hot — it takes good, old fashioned workouts and a healthy diet.

“There are no shortcuts to anything,” Corliss, a NASM CrossFit certified trainer who’s worked with Brit in the past few years, told HollywoodLife.com. “Britney goes after what she wants. She’s a hard worker. Plus, I’m sure her diet is on point as well.”

Just what does it take to go from an average shape to a bangin’ bod in no time at all? Corliss is a big advocate of balancing cardio exercise, strength training AND healthy nutrition.

“It obviously has to be a combo of all of it,” he said, explaining, “You can’t have success if you’re missing a piece of the puzzle. The best thing to do is interval training, like a quick sprint and then go back to resistance training, like push-ups or squats.”

Want to try one of Marc’s workouts? Try this practice program. Aw, go ahead – it only takes 30-45 minutes!

  • Sprint .25 miles (which is one time around a track). Advanced runners should strive for 8-9 mph; beginners should push themselves to their maximum effort…even if it’s just a brisk walk.
  • Don’t have space to run? Use a jump rope or try jumping jacks instead. The important thing is to get your heart rate up!
  • Switch to resistance training. Do 20 push ups, 20 body squats and 20 sit ups. Remember to continually push for maximum effort.

The other thing to keep in mind is that Brit didn’t get her new shape with one or two sessions — in order to notice a difference in your body, you need to work out consistently! “Five days a week is pretty active,” Corliss advised.

The good news is that there’s no need to spend hours every day in the gym. Says the trainer, “If you’re going at maximum effort, you only need to put in about 45 minutes.”

Sounds like a plan to us — but if you still need inspiration, check out these other celebs with gorgeous bikini bodies!
