It’s been a while since we’ve had a legit troublemaker on Wisteria Lane — enter Vanessa Williams!

“Ladies, there’s a new housewife in town.” Oh. Yes. Those seven words, uttered by newcomer Vanessa Williams in this brand-new promo video for Desperate Housewives‘ upcoming seventh season, give me hope that this show might still be good, even in its old age. The ladies of Wisteria Lane have been through a lot during the past six years, and it’d be a shame for them to fizzle out at the tail end of the show’s run, though some would argue they already have. What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Can a serious injection of Vitamin V — that’s my nickname for Vanessa, just floating it out there — be enough to keep ABC’s once-superb dramedy off life support?
