Comedy Emmy Winner Edie Falco Swears She’s Not Funny!! Huh?? Do You Agree?

We first fell in love with Edie Falco as a dramatic actress when she played mob wife Carmela Soprano on HBO’s Sopranos. Now America loves her in the caustic comedy Nurse Jackie. But Edie was shocked when she won the Emmy for Best Actress in a Comedy last night. She doesn’t think she is funny!!! We disagree.

“As soon as someone calls you funny you’re not funny anymore. I don’t really find myself funny!,” the officially funny actress said backstage. Edie’s win marks the first time an actress who previously won an Emmy for Best Actress in a dramatic role crossed over and won for comedy. Click to read more!

Hollywood’s finest probably spent most of the weekend primping and preening to look their very best at last night’s Emmy Awards, but not George Clooney. Of course the coolest man in movies took it all in stride.

George prepped for Emmy night by playing a little basketball with Office star John Krasinski. “My day today was, John Krasinski came over to my house with a bunch of guys and we played basketball. The only thing better than winning an Emmy is having your better half there to share your big victory! Just ask Kyra Sedgwick, who looked so happy with hubby Kevin Bacon after winning Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for TNT’s The Closer. But they weren’t the only couple on the red carpet. They were joined by Dexter stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, newlyweds Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, and a ton of other A-list duos. While these five girls opted for totally different dresses, I thought they all looked amazing!

When it comes to making a statement on the red carpet there were seasoned vets, like model mom Heidi Klum, young starlets like Nina Dobrev, and award winners like Claire Danes who turned up at the 2010 Emmys Awards. Initially, Heidi was my fave look of the night — especially since it’s been quite a while since we’ve seen the model look so sexy and chic. Clad in a black strapless Marchesa mini and a statement Lorraine Schwartz necklace her leggy look was show-stopping! Heidi knows how to break out a mini for such a formal affair.
