The singer/actress sports a decidedly different two-tone hair color at this weekend’s US Open.
OK, so I just came across this photo of singer/actress Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, taken this weekend as she and husband Pete Wentz took in a match at the US Open this past weekend. Please check out the new hairstyle she’s rocking: very long and with a different twist on hair color: dark brown/black from her roots to her shoulders and then dark blonde with highlights down to the ends.
I have so many questions I don’t know where to start. Are these her roots grown out to extreme lengths? Is this a revival of 80′s two-tone hair? What would one call this punk rock mixture of brunette and blonde? Brunde? Blondette?

I love ashlee but im not lovin the hair… it might just be one of those things were at 1st ur like “whoa, what did u do?” and then it sorta just grows on ya. i think it would look better being a dark brown on top and gradually getting lighter down, instead of the aweful mix of black and brown. but, i guess, if she likes it thats all that matters.

Her hair looks horrible!!! She should go back to blonde. And yes, she purposely does her hair this way. I feel bad for Pete. He can get way better!!

disgusting. did she really choose for her hair to look like this? it seems less like a c-lister’s chosen hairstyle and more like something you would see late night in walmart.
