After seeing so many neutral tones during Fashion Week, the bright color on their runways was so refreshing!
Don’t get me wrong, we’ve seen some beautiful collections so far during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, but the lack of color has left me feeling lackluster — that is, until day four of fashion week!
First, there was Rebecca Taylor who sent fun frocks down the runway — my favorite being a pink dress in a fun pattern. The designer stayed true to her feminine, flirty style and I could definitely see many younger stars wearing the collection!
Next up was Diane Von Furstenberg — which was easily the highlight of my day. It was my first time attending a DVF show, so I was obviously very excited. First, Sarah Jessica Parker caused a media frenzy in the front row before the show started. Once the runway was clear and the models walked in front of a packed house wearing Diane’s signature prints in eye-catching colors. Watching the models, all sporting shades and red lips, come down the runway in the gorgeous get-ups made me wish I was on a cruise. Diane mixed patterns and many of the models sported a waist-side bag that seemed so effortlessly chic. The designer once again created very wearable clothing that a variety of women would be able to wear. There was a white gown with a plunging neckline and a high slit that will definitely turn up on the red carpet. One of my personal favorite looks was a printed halter pantsuit in blue and brown and a pink and brown mini.
Check out some highlights of the show and tell me what you thought of the collections!
