The Gossip Girl star was spotted wearing some seriously heavy eye makeup on the red carpet. Is it time for an intervention?

Spotted on the red carpet last night: Taylor Momsen, promoting her position as spokesmodel and face of Madonna and Lourdes Leon’s new clothing line for Macy’s, Material Girl. The Gossip Girl style was sporting clothing from the line and some very dark, very serious eye makeup. Refusing to smile. Giving us major rock and roll attitude. Which is cool, but I have to ask this question: is this amount of eye makeup ok? Here, I send a message to the GG star with a small plea:

Hi, Taylor. First of all, digging the wardrobe and I actually really like your music. Yeah, so here’s the thing: the eye makeup? It’s a little too much. There’s a way to do dark and edgy without going into Rocky Horror Picture Show territory. You know what I mean? Think Debbie Harry more than Night of the Living Dead when going for this kind of look.  It’s funny because normally in these posts I would suggest what products to use, but this time I feel like you’ve got all the right products, you just don’t have to use them all at the same time. Maybe stay a little closer to your actual eye and away from the sides of your head next time? Awesome. Thanks.
