Sorry, Team Jacob — The Vampire Diaries wolves are cooler AND scarier than Taylor What’s-His-Name.
Tell me you didn’t get totally freaked out during the Sept. 23 episode of The Vampire Diaries when Mason Lockwood (Taylor Kinney) chained himself to a tree under the full moon and went through the most terrifyingly painful transformation I’ve ever seen. If you say it didn’t scare you, even a little bit, I’ll know you’re lying. Now compare that to the awkward naked howling transformations we saw on True Blood this season, or the super-lame CGI transformations that Jacob (Taylor Lautner) goes through in the Twilight saga — I think it’s fairly obvious which of the three vampire franchises wins this war of the wolves.
The fight between Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Mason’s wolf-self was also one of the best scenes this show has ever given us. Such intensity, such emotion. I was on the edge of my bed seat the whole time.
What do YOU think? Am I right, or am I right?
If you need help deciding, here’s a clip of Jacob’s transformation from New Moon:

I admit, I am a fan of the old school werewolf. American Werewolf in London and The Howling. I dont thinks its right to really put Twilight in here cause they arent werewolves but shapeshifters. They just take on a animal form, not mutate into a half wolf/half human…which is a werewolf. Hmm….not a geek but I think I just sounded like one. lol. Hey, I like my horror movies. :)
I do think they have gone soft with werewolves AND vamps personally but eh, at least each age group has their own types of monsters. To each their own.

I’m with you there. Since when are vampires all gentle & emo? If Edward Cullen was a true vamp, he’d have eaten Bella and moved on to his next meal years ago.
