Greetings, Upper East Siders (and BFFs)! As we prepare to settle in for tonight’s hotly-anticipated episode of Gossip Girl, I decided it might be fun to look at the beauty evolution of some of our beloved characters from the show. Today we’re looking at everyone’s favorite trouble-making, man-stealing little sister, Jenny Humphrey, played by the captivating Taylor Momsen. Which season’s Jenny is your favorite?
As you can see in the gallery, as the actress moves into serious rocker chic territory, so goes the evolving (or de-volving) look of her character. Season one found a freshly-scrubbed, adorable Jenny, who truly wanted to fit in. Uniform pressed, hair perfectly straight, light makeup. Season two finds our Jenny a little more worldly and adapting to her Brooklyn roots, with a shag haircut and edgier eye makeup. Season three finds our Jenny on top of the world at the beginning of the season: as the newly-minted Queen, she feels she can break the rules and let a little of her rocker edge start to peak out. By the season’s end, she’s strung out and exiled by Blair and her parents, looking a little rougher around the edges.
