Eric Dane Is Germaphobic! He Makes Everyone Scrub-Up Before They Can Touch His Baby Girl

Don’t even think about asking to hold Eric Dane’s daughter, Billie, if you haven’t washed your hands and slathered on the hand sanitizer!

Eric Dane, who’s best-known as the sexy surgeon Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan on Grey’s Anatomy, likes to keep things just as sterile as an operating room at home, because he’s turned into a bit of a germaphobe since the birth of his 6-month-old baby girl. “I thought I was going to be a let-them-get-dirty kind of dad,” he says. But it turns out he surprised himself after he and his wife of five years, Rebecca Gayheart, 39, brought home their little bundle-of-joy, Billie Beatrice.

Rebecca Gayheart took care to eat healthy while she was pregnant with Billie

The first-time parents are so protective of their little princess; they make sure that visitors get all cleaned up before they can play with the adorable little girl. “The second you come into my house I show you the sink, the hand sanitizer, then I follow you around with baby wipes. Because you don’t want the kids to get sick, right?” says Eric, 37. Sounds like Eric’s new nickname should be Mr. Clean!
