Lindsay Lohan, you have a powerful ally rooting for you: Jill Zarin, star of Real Housewives of New York ,and author with her mom and sister of Secrets of a Jewish Mother!
Jill Zarin, who’s a mom herself to 17-year-old Allyson, is adamant that Lindsay Lohan should NOT have been jailed by Judge Elden Fox until her Oct. 22, parole violation hearing.
“You don’t NOT give bail to a drug addict. Lindsay didn’t hurt anyone else — she didn’t rob a bank or break into someone’s house — she didn’t hurt anyone but herself,” Jill pointed out exclusively to HollywoodLife.com. “I feel bad for Lindsay — she’s a drug addict, I’ve known drug addicts and all they can think about is their drugs.”
Jill believes Lindsay should focus on medical help, rather than staring at a cell wall.
“Lindsay needs a solid year in rehab to finally overcome her addiction. You need 12 months to break ties with your former friends and associates,” she said. “The best thing to happen to Lindsay is if a movie studio would tell her to go away for a year, get sober and promise her a terrific role, when she came back.”
Jill also suggested that Lindsay may have a genetic pre-disposition to drug addiction, since her father, Michael Lohan, had the same addiction. Plus, she hasn’t had the benefit of two parents working toegther to support her.
“Some parents can help and interfere better than others,” Jill explained. “If her parents weren’t divorced, weren’t fighting, and a united front, they could have had more influence.”
The way Jill sees it, Lindsay is suffering from a deadly disease and she deserves treatment…NOT jail time!

btw, maybe you should have a descriptive phrase underneath jill’s name, too… maybe open it up to your readers as to how she should be referenced.

what i think is that nobody cares what jill thinks, and we’re still hoping her 15 minutes is up. i think if being in jail keeps lindsay safe from herself, that’s a good thing- and bribing an addict is not a real treatment avenue, so her carrot idea is not going to help.

In what imaginary land does Jill Zarin have any cultural influence whatsoever? Sadly, Snooki likely has more power.
You’re likely trying to find a niche for yourself as a gossip tabloid writer, and more power to you, but Jill Zarin is not a powerful ally in any universe, I’m afraid. She’s hated among most viewers and a sad tasteless joke among real socialites and powerful NY elite. Well, maybe she could give Lohan a job in her husband’s fabric store or write a fake review of her movies for Amazon.
Still, it’s nice that Zarin has found some bloggers that can parrot back her delusions to herself; it’s not as though a obviously slanted gossip blogger has much journalistic integrity or dignity to begin with.
