The day has finally arrived — Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler sat down in the judges’ seats next to Randy Jackson on Sept. 28 for the start of American Idol season ten auditions. And executive producer Nigel Lythgoe helpfully tweeted a picture of the trio with host Ryan Seacrest!

It seems that the contestants weren’t the only ones fearful about auditions — the judges had first day jitters as well! “On my way to New Jersey for Season Ten’s first audition in front of the new Judges,” Nigel said. “Good luck to everyone & remember, they’ll be nervous too!!”

But despite everybody’s nerves, the day was a cinch. “It’s great to be back on American Idol,” Nigel commented. “The judges were great!”

Still, is the public happiness really masking private feuding? Ryan Seacrest is allegedly jealous about J-Lo getting a $12 mil deal for the gig and is having trouble accepting her diva ways. “Ryan was the one who first suggested Jennifer, but now he’s starting to regret it, because she’s acting like she’s a much bigger star than he is,” a source revealed to InTouch magazine. “Ryan knows the diva behavior is likely to get worse before it gets better. Producers are trying to get them to make peace, but their egos are both pretty big.”
