The two casts, as well as former housewife Danielle Staub, were all on hand at a seated dinner and it was, of course, nothing but drama!

It seems like the Real Housewives cannot get a break from the drama in their lives, even when the cameras stop filming! Real Housewives of New York stars Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan, Alex McCord and new addition Cindy Barshop were filming at the Emperor’s Brand launch party for Giorgio G Cognacs at The Pierre on Sept. 29, but producers had to quickly scramble when they realized Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita would also be at the event and seated right near their New York counterparts! The solution? Kick the NJ girls out of their table and move them across the room!

“There was a major last second shuffle when they realized how close the girls were and the producers started panicking. They immediately began figuring out how to get the New York ladies in one corner and the New Jersey girls in the other. And everyone as far away from Danielle Staub as possible,” one attendee told us.

It seems that while the girls get along, Carolyn even stopped over to say hello and chat with the table, producers do not want the two casts intermingling — especially on camera!

Also with Caroline was sister Dina Manzo, sitting across the room from none other than arch nemesis Danielle, who was also filming! A guest however says Danielle simply filmed her entrance and exit as well as her brief appearance on the step and repeat, likely trying to create an air of wealth to go with her new show Social.

None of the girls spoke with Danielle at all throughout the night, who came with her assistant. Yes, Danielle has an assistant, who apparently spent the night referring to the New Jersey Housewives as “the others.” One guest said, “Danielle and her assistant were discussing heading to the afterparty and didn’t want to run into the other girls, but her assistant said, ‘It’s past the others bedtimes’.”

The night didn’t end very well either, as the New York crew ended up getting robbed of equipment and their wallets, valuing over $30,000!

So while we may want to think it’s all a show on Real Housewives, it seems like the drama is all real and all the time.
