The supermodel’s youngest child turned 1 on Saturday (Oct. 9) and Mom planned a birthday party at home with balloons, cupcakes, candles and a custom-made piece of jewelry.
Birthdays are a big deal at Heidi Klum and Seal‘s home. With four children, the couple are used to throwing parties with all the trimmings. Heidi had the celebration all planned out at home for their youngest daughter Lou‘s first birthday on Saturday (Oct. 9). “I got balloons and I got cupcakes — she’s going to eat her first Sprinkles cupcake!” the 37-year-old Project Runway host told People.
Heidi’s also got a special gift for her little girl — a necklace similar to one she gave her first child, Leni (now 6) on her first birthday. “I made her a beautiful necklace,” the proud mom revealed. “It’s the same necklace I made Leni. It’s an L with blue diamonds. Leni’s is pink, [and] she still wears it. It’s like their 1-year present.”

We’re not sure whether Heidi’s other kids, sons Henry, 5, and Johan, 3, got custom-made jewelry on their first birthdays as well, but there’s one thing all the kids enjoy at Klum-Samuel birthday celebrations — blowing out the candles on the cake!

“You don’t know how many times I have to turn the candles on again,” Heidi laughed. “It’s always a fight. They’re all going to help her blow out the candles.”
