This costume is creative & totally easy to throw together — find out how to re-create their look here!
Some people may think this is insensitive, but on Halloween I could bet you anything that when you turn around at the bar someone will be dressed up as a Chilean miner — and considering the way it made the headlines I’m not surprised! I think it’s amazing that they made it out alive after spending months underground and since their story will most certainly become a book and movie, why not a Halloween costume? Not only will you be credited for your creativity, but with a hard hat, a jumpsuit, a flag draped around your shoulders, and of course, their signature shades you’re ready to go!
Even though the men came out clean-shaven, I recommend growing in your beard or putting on some paint so you look a little weathered, just for effect. Considering the miners were provided with cigarettes while underground, if you’re a smoker your pack can double as a costume prop! And, if you dress up as a mistress and make your guy the miner it can even be perfect for a couple’s costume! Again, I don’t mean to offend anyone and I think what they endured is remarkable — but I also think it’s a genius idea for a Halloween costume. Check out my picks below if you agree!

An interesting discussion is worth comment. There’s no doubt that that you ought to publish more about this topic, it might not be a taboo matter but generally folks don’t talk about these subjects. To the next! All the best!!

Definitely going to be my costume this year! I can’t believe people actually think this is insensitive… if anything its paying tribute to a remarkable international effort! I’d rather bring attention to a positive human achievement than to dress up like a jersey shore character and promote douche-ness.

Yes but a lot of them are emotionally scarred from their experience.
