Rooney, currently stealing scenes in ‘The Social Network,’ has had a major beauty makeunder for her upcoming role as Lisbeth Salander!

For those fans currently getting to know Rooney Mara as the fresh faced beauty in the wildly popular The Social Network, brace yourselves for her upcoming role in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo! Page Six reports, “David Fincher made wholesome-looking Mara bleach her eyebrows and dye her hair jet black, and even pierce her nipples for a topless scene.” Pierced nipples? Yikes!

Rooney won the highly coveted lead in the film, also starring Daniel Craig and Robin Wright Penn, over actors including Scarlett Johansson and Ellen Page.
