Alexandra V. Tobias is awaiting trial after pleading guilty to shaking her 3-month-old son to death. Can you believe that the Florida woman committed this senseless act of violence because her infant’s cries were distracting her while she was playing Farmville on Facebook? How could this happen?
If there is any justice Alexandra V. Tobias will spend the rest of her life behind bars. The 22-year-old Jacksonville, Florida resident recently plead guilty to killing her 3-month-old son over an online game. She admits that Dylan Lee Edmonson had been crying for a while as she played the popular Facebook game Farmville.
Alexandra told police that when the infant wouldn’t stop crying, last January, she stepped away from the game long enough to shake the boy, smoke a cigarette and then shake the boy again. The unfit mother suggested that little Dylan “may have hit his head during the shaking.”
Disgusting. I can’t stomach this kind of abuse. Considering that so many of my friends and family are struggling to conceive, it really enrages me that mothers can be so careless with the kids they were blessed to have.
So sad! This mother murdered her daughters with a sword
Dylan’s death has been classified as second-degree murder, so if convicted, Alexandra faces the possibility of life in prison. The Farmville craze — it has more than 75 million users who earn virtual money by growing and harvesting crops — is becoming a big cause for concern because there are so many reports of players, like Alexandra, have become addicted to the game.
Experts warn that Charlie Sheen is psychologically damaging
his daughters
Dr. Phil even featured a Farmville-addicted mother on his talk show in January. Playing Farmville online became an obsession for this woman. She admits to being on the computer playing from the moment she wakes up until late into the night, while her kids were eating microwaveable meals and living in filth.
If you find yourself spending way too much time taking care of your cyber crops, Dr. Phil suggests deleting the game to ensure that it doesn’t become a bigger problem.
I’m going to share this story with every single one of my Facebook friends that like to boast about how well their corn crop and avocado harvests are doing. I suggest you do the same thing!

Someone should shake her to death. How can anyone do this to babies. They are so innocent. “children” need to stop having babies. If you cannot handle the stress or anything else that comes along with being a parent, do not get pregnant! This makes me sick!!!!

In the police report, nowhere does it say “farmville.” It only says “a facebook game.” It could easily have been scrabble or something.

Let’s be clear, she didn’t kill her baby because she was playing Farmville. The article likes to assert it was because he interrupted this specific activity, but I bet you anything she would have shaken that baby had he interrupted anything she she was doing.

This is so sad! She must feel awful, but what a horrible thing to do. Regardless of whether she meant for this outcome or not, it’s just tragic.

If you pay attention to the date you would have noticed that this was almost 2 years ago when Farmville was actually popular.

She will do little to no time due to the fact she is a woman.

I think that if anyone who has the guts to kill your own child deserves to rot in jail for the rest of their lives! I mean she killed a helpless child. She got to feel him grow inside of her she got to hold him hear his cries she got to give life to this child, this does not mean if you give life you can take it away!

There are plenty of other addicting games on the internet. plenty are more addicting. You don’t have to blame Farmville for the horrible thing this woman did

reading this was absolutely heart wrenching. some people need to be sterilized. I hope she rots in jail for life, and has to think of what she did to her child every second.

I wish people would quit blaming everything but the person who made the bad choice to do what they did. It is not the fault of a game that a person chose to do this. ACCOUNTABILITY a word that has been lost in our society for too long. We need to bring it back.

Totally agree – put the responsibility back where it lies. You can’t blame this on FARMVILLE but the crazy person that done it.

This article does address farmville addiction, but it also puts the blame on the mother, where it certainly belongs. Here are three statements from the article that do just that:
“If there is any justice Alexandra V. Tobias will spend the rest of her life behind bars.”
” The unfit mother…”
“…it really enrages me that mothers can be so careless with the kids they were blessed to have.”

Life behind bars would not be “justice” for this scum. She should be shaken to death by some hulking executioner, the way she shook her child to death. It’s only fair.
