Find out what the glam gals had on from head to toe!
On last night’s episode of Gossip Girl, ‘War at the Roses,’ Blair celebrated her 20th birthday with a huge bash and the guest list included her Dean, her professors, and Rachel Zoe (to name a few). While I wasn’t impressed with last night’s episode — (maybe it’s cause most 20-year-olds don’t have the Dean of their University and cookies shaped like their favorite pairs of shoes at their big bash) — luckily the clothing was consistent.
Serena’s (Blake Lively) ridiculously predictable behavior and comments totally annoyed me last night. For starters, confiding in Juliet is obviously the dumbest thing she could do — and call me crazy, but if you’re trying to stay away from a guy (especially if he’s your professor) dropping by his office with books and coffee in teeny minis and dresses with cutout backs definitely doesn’t help! It looks like in an an attempt to look ‘professional’ she took a cue from her new gal pal Juliet and attempted to cover up a little with a blazer, (a Topshop collar tux blazer ($135) to be exact). Underneath, she had on a Twenty8Twelve Vaccaro dress ($420). She accessorized with the Dannijo Isadore necklace ($695), and the Fallon fair isle metal stone bracelet.
Prior to her big birthday celebration, Blair seemed to have on an ideal get-up for her meeting with Chuck. Everything from the Paige Gamble medium stingray headband ($290) to her Giambattista Valli tweed jacket ($1,870) and matching pencil skirt ($1,049) was perfect for the occasion. She finished off the look with a Chris Benz fall 2010 blouse and Casadei pumps.
For the highly anticipated soiree, the birthday girl opted for a maroon J. Mendel fall 2009 frock and a gorgeous pair of Rich Rocks crystal earrings in citrine with gold leaves ($90). Her mother, Eleanor, was in town for the soiree and opted for an appropriate Teri John printed sheath dress and a RIch Rocks stretch bracelet. Designer Cynthia Rowley made one of the more believable cameos during the birthday party, wearing an embellished spring 2011 top and a feathered tutu skirt ($330) from her own collection — but my favorite look by far was the plunging green J. Mendel dress on Serena. I love how the bottom just seemed to disappear, conveniently exposing the blonde’s long legs — it’s so Serena.
Who did you think was best dressed last night?
