Angelina Jolie takes the role of “possessive girlfriend” to a new level — at least according to a new report from the National Enquirer. Brad allegedly called Courteney Cox in response to her recent split from husband David Arquette, both of whom he has known for many years, to offer comfort during the difficult time.
However, an insider says Angie isn’t tolerating any sort of friendship between her man and the Friends star, given that she’s still besties with Jennifer Aniston!
“Angie flew into a rage when Brad admitted he called Courteney — and she accused him of using the Arquette split to reach out to Jen,” the source says. “Angie said she wouldn’t be surprised if Jen was sitting right next to Courteney when he called!”
And this isn’t the first time Angie has viewed Courteney as public enemy #2!
“Angelina is convinced that Courteney has been bad-mouthing her for years in an attempt to protect Jen’s reputation,” the source continues, adding that it’s “very high school, but when it comes to her rivalry with Jennifer, there’s no getting through to Angie.
It may be time to move on, Angie! Brad picked YOU!

Good to see Angie getting kicked – she’s getting what she deserves – Jen was his wife – she is the outsider invader here. She has alot of nerve being jealous over anyone !!

Angelina thought once she had Brad she’d have Brad forever. But unfortunately, like most things in life, the magic wore off and the reality hit. Now Brad feels stuck with Angie because of the children, when he now is in total realization that he had the best before he left her. He’s still trying to keep in “the loop” by calling Courteney because at this point that’s all he has…

Watching the National Enquirer and HollywoodLife work in tandem is like watching two donkeys dance ballet.
It’s mesmerizing at first, but you just know it will end in disaster.
The Enquirer recently declared that Angelina Jolie “flipped out” after hearing that Brad Pitt had called Courteney Cox “to offer condolences on her marriage bustup” with David Arquette.
Jolie was supposedly in a jealous rage, believing Pitt to be using Cox’s split to “rekindle his ties” with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
It was ludicrous, and Gossip Cop busted it.
Well, there’s no already debunked story too ludicrous for HollywoodLife to swallow!
The sloppy site picks up the Enquirer story (days late, of course) and runs with it.
Angelina Jolie “takes the role of ‘possessive girlfriend’ to a new level,” claims HollywoodLife, repeating quotes from the Enquirer’s “insiders.”
“Angie isn’t tolerating any sort of friendship between her man and the Friends star, given that she’s still besties with Jennifer Aniston!” explains the site.
HollywoodLife does drop the words “reportedly” and “allegedly” into this ridiculousness… but still treats the whole thing as though it’s real.
“Would it drive you around the bend if YOUR man called his ex’s BFF?” asks HollywoodLife, which then poses a similar question in a poll.
What drives Gossip Cop “around the bend” is that outlets like HollywoodLife give the Enquirer’s bad rumors a second life.
This story was 100% false and still is a week later.

This is such a stupid story. I know this site thinks Jennifer is perfect and Angelina is evil but I would think they would take tabloid rumors less seriously and stop claiming the stories are true. NE has said at least 30 times Brad and Angelina brokeup and he’s going back to Jennifer. Also she has six kids and is directing a movie. I doubt she has the time and energy to go ballistic over a phonecall. Which I doubt took place considering they haven’t talked to each other in over five years.
I’m amused that people blame Angelina for the divorce. If Brad was so happy with Jennifer than why would he divorce her or supposedly have an affair?

well, angelina probably knows best that whatshisname is not really the faithful kinda guy, seeing how these two got together in the first place. so shes obviously gonna over-react.
on another note, i wish she would put on a few pounds cos she looks rather frail and depressed in most of the pictures ive seen lately. bring back the sexy curves, ma’am!
