The younger Simpson sister tells us about Jessica’s wedding news and, brace yourself, plans for more music!

This isn’t the first go round for Ashlee Simpson in terms of family weddings, but that doesn’t stop her from playing the role of excited sibling/bridesmaid-to-be for a second time! She seemed ready to start the wedding planning (and start up the singing again!) when we caught up with the singer/actress/mom Nov. 16.

HollywoodLife.com was at the SolsticeSunglasses.com launch in Hollywood on Tuesday, and when we ran into Ashlee (looking skinnier than ever), we congratulated her on Jessica’s man finally putting a ring on it. “Thank you very much,” she said to us. “We all are very excited!”

And so are we, seeing as we have not one, but at least three celebrity winter weddings to look forward to. We also brought up Ashlee’s singing career, and there’s good news for fans who have missed the “Pieces of Me” tunes of years past. “I’ll be back with some stuff real soon,” she promised.

Maybe she’ll debut a love song at Jessica’s romantic December wedding!
