Ben Affleck Depends On Jennifer Garner To Do All The Holiday Shopping!
If buying all the gifts was left up to Ben Affleck, everyone would be getting presents from CVS! HollyMoms, do you have to do all of the holiday shopping for your family, too?
Ben Affleck isn’t “capable” of doing the holiday shopping for his family — he leaves that job to his better half, Jennifer Garner! “Because my wife is so capable and because I’m less so, she does a lot of that work, and I kind of root her on. I’m encouraging,” the 38 year-old actor tells Ellen DeGeneres in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Wednesday (Dec. 1). “I’m not particularly proud of it. But it’s a bit of a ’50s thing, I guess.”
An insider says Ben and Jen’s marriage on the rocks
While Jen, 38, acts as a little Christmas elf, all Ben does is worry about the one gift he is responsible for — a present for his wonderful wife! “It takes her as much energy and effort to buy like the 20 gifts, we’re going to buy other people, as it does to buy her gift,” he admits. “I spend the whole time fretting about that and being nervous and hoping she likes that.”
But, with Ben’s gift ideas, we’re not sure Jen is going to be too excited about the gift she unwraps on Christmas morning! “I end up at like CVS on the 24th being like, ‘Maybe she’d like a little Godzilla that goes around,’” he says. ”My kids actually would like that…”

Hmm, it sounds like Ben better ask his daughters, Violet, 4, and Seraphina, 2, what Mommy would like for Christmas this year. I’m sure they would warn him to stay away from spinning reptile statues!
