The Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum is returning to our TV lives with a new drama pilot for TNT. Get the details on her butt-kicking role!
Dollhouse star Eliza Dushku could only keep away from television for so long. First, she had highly-rated guest role on Big Bang Theory, and now she’s signed on to star in a pilot for TNT!
Our sister site Deadline.com is reporting that Eliza, 29, has been cast as the female lead in Mike Robe’s pilot, Bird Dog. As with her previous roles, Eliza will play a tough girl (Gail McGrath) who follows in her father’s footsteps when she becomes a cop. After moving from New York City to a small town in the Pacific Northwesters (Forks, maybe?), Gail gets a surprise visit from her dad, a NYC policeman, who wishes to join her on the force.
Now a father-daughter team with the call sign “Bird Dog,” the twosome must solve crimes together while dealing with their own rocky relationship. Robe will also direct the pilot.
