Kate evidently spent about four or five hours getting a La Brasiliana keratin treatment as well as color with celebrity colorist and L’Oreal Consultant Jason Backe as well as a haircut with none other than the salon’s namesake, beauty industry giant Ted Gibson himself!
The reality diva must be preparing for one fabulous holiday celebration because this destination for A-list hair is worth quite a bit. A La Brasiliana keratin treatment (a four-hour process that straightens hair) starts at $950, a haircut with celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson is worth $950 and color with A-list colorist Backe starts at $200. That means the price of her trip to the salon most likely starts around $2000 and would only go up from there!

She is really beginning to show her age..but i do think shes an amazing mom!! people say she made Jon feel like one of the kids..well he acted like one of them…she had 8 kids under the age of 5!!…and 1 that is a perpetual kid!….Yup..shes a good mom !!!

Do you also scream at and hit your kids? Do you have others constantly film them in private moments? Do you get nannies to raise them while you fly to NYC to get your hair done? Is that why you think she’s a good mom?

The only think remotely ‘good’ about her parenting is that she is away from the kids 5 days a week pampering her worthless self. She is a freak. A narcissist. And she is totally out of control and has NO CLUE about parenting. none.

Kate hair looks like crap. What a waste of money. She should have spent it on her kids but instead she sells their privacy to beautify herself daily. Is there anyone intelligent out there that can answer my question? Why does she need a body gaurd to go to a hair salon? Who does that, seriously? Does she think she is royality? Purse boy and Kate must be an item. She is always photographed with that stiff smile and wad of gum in her mouth. NO CLASS

Such hateful comments towards Kate. She is the sole bread winner for her 8 children. What she does w/ her share of money, hair, tan, clothes, ect.. isn’t any of our business. Kate and the “little gossliens” are enjoying a lifestyle they would never had imagine had it not been for TLC. Now if Kate would only unload that hidious, utilitarian van. Kate, trade that ugly thing in for a XL Suburban. For a 30 something, single, hot mama, get a cool ride to haul your brood around.

The KIDS are the sole breadwinners. If Kate were able to be the sole breadwinner, Kate Plus 8 would have been replaced by Twist of Kate. She can’t make it without the kids working. Twist of Kate will never see the light of day.

Um, you DO realize that having eight kids got her the fame and money she has, right? Did she go out to a regular job and work for the money she spends? No. She exploited her kids for it. Who are we to judge what she spends on her hair or her clothes? If she were using the government’s money by being on welfare, than maybe we would have a right, but really? Dont you think there is a little bias on the way the media tilts stories to make Kate look bad? Why dont you go around telling us how much Angelina Jolie, or Katie Holmes, or Heidi Klum spend to get their hair done? Ummm….becuase its no one’s business. Leave her alone. Why care if she spends money? Because she’s spending money her kids earn. The difference is that Angie, Katie and Heidi all earn their own money – their kids aren’t the source of the family income. You can’t say she’s earning her own money as an ET correspondent because they’ve stopped covering SWTS.

Angelina Jolie, Katie Holmes and Heidi Klum did not reach their level of wealth and celebrity on the backs of their children. THEIR money is truly their money, they earned in on their own talents. No one would know the name “Gosselin” if it were not for her children.
And the criticism often stems from her own behavior (as publicized). She pictured this past summer, taking her kids to SUPER-CUTS, a budget salon. She was pictured for this article, taking herself to an exclusive, high priced salon.
Can you not see the discrepancy?

Exactly. I don’t see a difference between her blowing money on herself for frivolous things than those welfare moms that use the money that’s supposed to be for raising children on designer clothes, fake nails, etc. Kate Gosselin freakin bugs, yo.

Get a grip on this tale! Ted Gibson is a TLC man and I am quite sure that TLC picks up the tab for Kate.
No way is this coupon packing mama going to spend that kind of money on her hair.
Kate recycles, has chickens so she can save on her organic egg bill and is forever recycling her clothes as well.
Kate is no spend thrift! Family on facebook page says she saves every bit she can because she knows how fleeting fame is and her time with TLC may be limited.

Who are you kidding. Kate probably hasn’t touched a coupon in months. I’ve never seen her photographed in the same clothes twice in well over a year. The only time she probably goes near the chickens is when it is being filmed. I mean really, have you ever watched her show? She is such a germ freak she wouldn’t touch those dirty chickens with a ten foot pole unless she was being paid for it. She is a total disgrace to all single mothers out there who are struggling to take care of their children. If it weren’t for her kids no one out there would give a rats behind about anything she does.

Kate had chickens for an EPISODE of the show. Just like she got dogs, for an episode of the show. Do you know that she still has the chickens? Do you really think Kate is out there watering and feeding the chickens, cleaning out their coop, collecting the eggs? Not very likely.
And before it is said that she got the dogs, gave the dogs back to the breeder, then got ONE of the dogs back again all for her kids – she got the one dog back again, for an episode of the show. Again.

Those hair appointments of hers are getting quite expensive. That is probably why she is trying to sue Jon for $125,000. I didn’t know it cost that much for your hair to look over-processed, over-bleached and about as shiny as straw. I guess I am going to the wrong salon. What a complete witch you are Kate.

She looks like an over-tanned streetwalker. I see that she is carrying a shopping bag probably filled with expensive product. I guess “bag boy” at her left has his hands full and K has to carry one of the bags.
Merry Christmas to me! Kids I had my hair done so “santa” won’t be coming down our chimney this year.
