Ben Affleck Can’t Wait To Spend Time With His Kids — But What About His Wife Jen?
Ben wrapped his latest movie and is heading home to play Mr. Mom. We hope he plays Mr. Husband to Jen Garner, too!
It’s finally Jennifer Garner‘s turn enjoy a little personal time while her hubby Ben Affleck takes over daddy duty at home with their two girls, Violet, 5, and Seraphina, 2½ — and he’s very excited! “My wife’s going to a movie and then it’s going to be just pure Mr. Mom time!” Ben tells UsMagazine.com. But now that Jen is getting a break from practically being a single mom, when will the couple enjoy quality time together? From the sounds of it — never!
When asked what he loves most about Jen, he says, “What’s not to love?” But, instead of spending time with his wife, Ben plans on taking a trip to the mall to find her a Christmas present. We will give him some credit — that’s a step in the direction, considering he did admit to Ellen DeGeneres that he usually just goes to CVS on Christmas Eve and picks her up something like a “little Godzilla that goes around.” HollyMoms, how unhappy would you be to get that gift from Ben on Christmas morning? “It sounded bad, I know!” he says to Us, explaining his holiday shopping routine. “When I watched it I was like, ‘I don’t come off very well here.’ But I have that experience quite a bit.”
Violet is clinging to Jen — is it a cry for help?
Ben says what he meant was that Jen is much better at the job! “Basically, my wife is very in-depth with all this stuff, really sharp, very thoughtful, very thorough,” he explains. “And so for me, I get kind of panicked, I put things off and I just don’t know what to get so just buying her a present — I put more work into that than she does into buying fifteen!”
