We watched them fall in love on the small screen in High School Musical, but after five years, Zac and Vanessa have reportedly called it quits!
It’s the end of an era. After dating each other for five years, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have reportedly broken up!
“It’s nothing dramatic,” one source told E! Online. “There’s no third party involved.”
Another source confirmed the split and said Zanessa are still close friends, adding, “They were together for so long. It just ran its course.”
If their split wasn’t caused by another person, maybe long distance is to blame. Currently, the couple is separated by 3,000 miles! Vanessa is busy filming Journey 2: the Mysterious Island in Hawaii, which wraps later this week and Zac is shooting The Lucky One in New Orleans.
Zac, 23, and Vanessa, 21, met on the set of High School Musical in 2005 and quickly fell in love. The laid back couple reportedly moved into an LA apartment together in 2008 — we wonder who got the place in the split! Needless to say, we imagined Zanessa was the real deal and would be an item for years to come…what a bummer!

I feel very sad about their breakup,i expected something to come out of their relationship they were so good together,so perfect and so inluv. I just hope that they should do something about their coming back.

I am so very sad hearing of the brakeup. Just hoping that someday the two will get back together. The timing of the brakeup is sad. It is her birthday and holiday is coming. Vanessa must be very sad. I can feel how she is feeling. I will keep prayng for you and Zac too for success and happiness.
