Senate Repeals ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ — Celebs & President Obama Tweet Reactions!

Needing 51 votes to be repealed, the Senate votes 65 to 31 to end the practice after an almost 20 year struggle!

After 17 years of highly heated debate, the Senate voted today to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” a bill prohibiting openly gay Americans from serving in the military. The bill will now be passed on to President Obama to be signed into law and will take effect after some initial procedural steps are taken. See what some celebs had to say!

  • President Obama: By ending “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” no longer will patriotic Americans be asked to live a lie in order to serve the country they love.

What the hell is Lady Gaga taking credit for?? “we did it”? SHE did what exactly? Besides talk about it relentlessly as though she had some sort f personal stake, or even a SAY in the matter. Obama announced that he was going to try and do away with DADT as part of his platform ages ago, it wasn’t until much after that all these idiots jumped on the bandwagon. When I see Any of those hollywood idiots serve their country, then maybe I will give a rats ass what their opinion is about military matters.

    What an ignorant comment. 1)The military wear uniforms, dumb ass. 2) Wearing pink has nothing to do with sexual orientation. You don’t go after girls for simply wearing blue, do you?
